“I’ll be completely honest, a content creator was probably the wedding vendor I was most reserved about booking. I wasn’t entirely convinced we needed one alongside a photographer and videographer, and I definitely had a tiny fear that it might mean having another camera in our faces all day.
Well… I would now like to formally admit that I was VERY wrong.
Amina from Avaia Socials was genuinely one of the best additions to our wedding day.
Before even talking about the content, Amina herself was such a calm, grounded presence in what can only be described as a slightly beautiful thunderstorm of a day. There were approximately 400 things happening at any given moment, yet somehow she was everywhere without ever FEELING like she was everywhere. She captured so many little moments without interrupting a single one, and half the time we had absolutely no idea she was even filming.
We had booked Amina completely separately from our photographer and videographer, but watching the three of them work together you genuinely would have thought they came as a package deal. There was no competing for shots, no awkward manoeuvring around each other they just worked together so naturally and made the whole thing feel effortless.
And the REELS.
The amount of times we have watched them should probably be studied.
What Amina managed to capture wasn’t just what our wedding looked like, somehow she captured what it actually FELT like to be walking through it. The excitement, the chaos, the tiny interactions, the moments between the “big” moments and things we didn’t even realise were happening around us. Some of the clips she captured have genuinely become some of our favourite memories from the entire day.
We were lucky enough that Amina offered cam-corder and film packages, seeing the detail and vintage shots was just the cherry on top of a magical day.
So, from someone who originally questioned whether we really needed a content creator: yes. Yes we absolutely did.
Amina, thank you for proving me completely wrong, for being such a calming presence amongst the madness and for giving us the ability to relive our wedding from the inside looking out.
